You will play a crucial role in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and cross-selling cutting-edge security alarm systems. RESPONSIBILITES Assessing and Consulting Consulting with clients to assess their security and safety needs and recommending appropriate alarm and automation solutions Recommending and quoting supplementary items to increase the overall value of the customer’s transaction through cross-selling efforts Meeting or exceeding monthly cross-selling, bonus earning, goals Installation, Configuration and Maintenance Installing and configuring electronic security and automation systems based on customer requirements Mounting and installing sensors, detectors, cameras, automation hardware, control panels, and other electronic security equipment to optimize coverage and functionality Programming and configuring systems to function effectively Performing regular system upgrades and resolving any malfunctions in a timely manner Training and Support Providing training and customer education on the proper use of the system and ensuring customers are comfortable with the technology Providing ongoing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers as needed via onsite visits and/or virtually via telephone, chat, and other approved technology QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma/GED required At least two (2) years of general work experience within an industry-related field Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality service Comfortable with recommending solutions to customers and building additional value in your customer interactions Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English Color vision is required for this position PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS College or technical degree preferred Proven experience as an alarm technician or similar role Past sales or cross-selling experience Knowledge of various alarm systems and their components; Experience with Resideo and Alarm.com hardware and services Relevant certifications in alarm system installation and maintenance Ability to read blueprints, work orders, specifications, and contract documents PHYSICAL DEMANDS Willingness and ability to work above ground (on ladders, roof-tops, bucket trucks, scaffolding as needed) Continuous sitting, walking, lifting up to 15 pounds, close vision, talking, and hearing. Often using fine motor skills, standing, bending, reaching at/below and above shoulder level, lifting 16-30 pounds, distance, color, and depth vision. Sometimes squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, pulling, and lifting over 31 pounds.
